Natural Distinction joins Blue Earth Summit 2025 to spotlight The Mailing Room x Farm Urban 1% for the Planet partnership, showcasing real impact in schools, communities, and workplaces through food, education, and sustainability.
This 15–17 October, Natural Distinction will join changemakers, innovators, and purpose-driven brands at Blue Earth Summit 2025, a gathering that celebrates action for people and planet.
We’re excited to be there to share a story that embodies what we believe sustainable business is all about collaboration and impact.
Spotlight on 1% for the Planet Partnership: The Mailing Room x Farm Urban
Over the three days as well as learning about the latest in all things sustainability, we will be working to spotlight the partnerships between our client The Mailing Room (TMR) and their Corporate Social Responsibility partners through a stand on the summit floor.
In particular we will be showcasing the incredible partnership between TMR, a 1% for the Planet business member, and Farm Urban, a certified 1% for the Planet Environmental Partner.
Through their 1% for the Planet commitment, The Mailing Room has partnered with Farm Urban on their mission to transform our towns, cities, and organisations into greener, healthier, and more inclusive spaces.
What’s Already Growing
The impact of this partnership is more than a promise, it’s happening right now:
- Nurture – A schools and community education programme already running in Liverpool, with Future Food Heroes sessions delivered to 78 children across four primary schools and Future Food Challenge projects delivered to 36 students in three secondary schools. These will expand to Bury schools over the next two years, with TMR staff mentoring and supporting pupils.
- Nourish – Donations of fresh, living produce to local families and partners, including up 1,000 kg of produce (14,400 portions of leafy greens) supplied to the Greenhouse Project food pantry facilitated by Fans Supporting Foodbanks.
- Sustainable Steps & Edible Wall – An on-site edible wall at TMR’s headquarters, stocked weekly and used to engage staff with hands-on sustainability. The initiative launched with the Sustainable Steps programme in January 2024 and continues to thrive.
- Monthly Engagement Events – TEDx-style lunchtime talks, smoothie breakfasts, cookery demos, and practical vertical farming workshops keep staff learning, tasting, and growing together throughout the year.
These projects demonstrate how a clear giving commitment can generate measurable social and environmental benefits within a business and direct to communities at the same time.
Join Us on Stage
On Day 1 – Wednesday 15 October at 11:30am, we’ll be on the Coopers Stage hosting a workshop on the partnership and as part of the Leadership & Green Skills track. We’d love for you to join us!
Our session will explore the TMR x Farm Urban partnership and share how brands can use the 1% for the Planet model to turn sustainability strategies into tangible, real-world impact. Whether you’re a startup founder, a creative agency, or a businessready to take your first step, this conversation is for you.

Why It Matters
At Natural Distinction, we believe partnerships like this are a key part of corporate sustainability. Internal action is vital, but putting your money where your mouth is and supporting those working every day to make the world a better place has real power. There doesn’t need to be an either or. You can do both and you can (and will) be more robust, more attractive, and more productive as a result.
This is what 1% for the Planet was designed for: direct support for grassroots projects that restore ecosystems, improve food security, and inspire people to think differently about how we live and eat.
Start Your Own Journey
The TMR x Farm Urban story shows what’s possible when businesses commit to giving back. Your brand can do the same. You don’t need a perfect ESG report or a big budget to begin, just the willingness to take that first step.
